It is a combination of his original gamertag 'Archmage-Danny' and 'tosis' from Korn's song, 'Cameltosis'.

Artosis grew up playing video games on his Nintendo 64 and then switched to PC games when he was a bit older.

He originally started uploading interview content from various tournaments to his YouTube channel in 2010, and then began livestreaming his own gameplays on Twitch in February 2012.

He is known for getting a little bit too invested in his gameplay, his competitiveness, his educational content, podcasts, casting, high-level strategies and his coaching sessions.
