He was given it by one of his IRL friends when he was eight years old.

Asmongold got into video games when he started playing Warcraft when he was around six years old. He cotinued playing video games with Halo being his favorite until late 2006 when he and his friend decided to try out World of Warcraft.

He moved home to take care of his mother when she got sick in 2014 and began creating consisting video content during his spare time. He began streaming on Twitch in mid 2014.

Asmongold is known for interacting with his chat and hosting community events on the WOW servers. He isalso known for his reaction videos, as well as being pretty vocal about what's going on in WOW,/em>. he tries to keep his language clean durin gameplays, but does swear when not communicating in-game.
