Since early childhood, CallMeCarsonLIVE has been a video game player. He continued his education in college after high school, but at the end of his first year, he made the decision to leave his Media Communication course to focus solely on content creation because he wasn't that interested in going to college.

When he was about twelve years old, he first started making YouTube content after being inspired to try making his own content by watching Pokémon walkthroughs. His early content wasn't all that popular, but this channel took off after he launched his new Minecraft channel, CallMeCarson, in May 2012. After that, in November 2014, he launched his Twitch channel. Since then, he has expanded into producing a wide range of content. He chose to change the kind of content he produced on his YouTube channel after making the switch to full-time content creation in September 2018, but he kept producing gaming content on Twitch. He grew significantly as a result of this action.
