CaprainSparkles has been playing video games ever since his mom bought him a GameBoy Color when he was five.

When he was in high school, he discovered YouTube gaming content and decided to try out creating content himself in 2010. In 2011, he joined Machina, which enabled him to monetize his content and to network with other content creators. After a couple of his videos went viral, he decided to drop out of his second year of college in order to pursue a full time career in content creation. He started livestreaming on Twitch in January 2013.
