His friend called his dad 'nugget,' which chiknnuggey found amusing. He therefore decided to call his girlfriend that and she reciprocated. But one day, she accidentally typed 'nuggey' instead. He thought that was funny and added on 'chikn' to create his new handle.

chiknnuggey grew up playing video games and got into fps games during his teens. While he was in high school, he especially enjoyed practicing his trick shots in COD.

He originally attempted streaming in mid 2019 but soon gave up. However, after graduating from college and working as a video editor for a while, he realized that he was unhappy and decided to give it another shot. He did so in January 2021. His first YouTube video went viral and his channel rapidly grew.
