When Simply was looking for content after Own.tv went away, he first found Twitch through League of Legends. One day, while browsing, he came across Siglemic's channel. At the time, he was regarded as one of the best Super Mario 64 speedrunners, and Simply quickly became enamored with his content to the point where watching him became a daily ritual. After some time, he made the decision to give speedrunning a try for himself. In August 2012, he went for his first run. He did, however, take a break throughout his college years beginning in 2015, and then again in 2018 due to carpal tunnel syndrome. His older brother had first exposed him to rap music, and after giving it some time to grow on him, he decided to try it again.

In July 2013, he began broadcasting his attempts on Twitch, and in October that same year, he posted his first video to YouTube. He recovered from his carpal tunnel in December 2019, and then he started streaming full-time.
