Swagg started to play Call of Duty with his friends after they introduced it to him in 2012. However, he only began to grind seriously after sustaining an injury that forced him to quit basketball soon after he entered college.

After quitting basketball, he decided to try uploading YouTube videos for fun in May 2013. He discovered that he really enjoyed it and so continued to upload. His channel grew over the next couple of years, so that by the end of his second year, he chose to take a gap year to try to develop content creation into a fulltime career. However, he promised his mom that even if streaming did work out for him, he would still return to college at the end of the year, which he did do. He joined FaZe's stream team in April 2020.

Swagg tends to be relatively calm during streams, although he does get excited with both his and his teammates successes. He alos engages with his chat while waiting in the lobby.
