TrumpSC first discovered video games at his elementary school, through a game called Oregon Trail. His parents got him his first video game, Oregon Trail 2 because it was educational. The same held true for the game Capitalism. He later found out about free downloadable games, and then online games, and so his interest continued into his adult life.

He started streaming StarCraft II during its beta phase on December 10, 2010 in the hope of getting good enough to go pro, but that never happened. He therefore moved on to a number of other titles until he finally hit the jackpot when he got into the Hearthstone beta in mid-2013. His background in MTG Online really helped him to grasp the mechanics, as did his background in finance.

TrumpSC is known for his educational content, friendly personality, love of board games and anime, and friendship with other streamers.
