His old gamertag was 'Turtle,' but as he grew older, he realized it was too common and tried to come up with a new one. He thought 'Zex' sounded cool and that 'Row' worked with it, so he combined the two and has been using it ever since.

ZexRow's father bought him an Xbox 360 when he was six years old, which sparked his interest in video games. He began with Call of Duty 3 (CoD), then moved on to Call of Duty 4, CounterStrike: Global Offensive (CS:GO), and other CoD titles and fps games. He began playing Fortnite as soon as it was released and began working on his aim and game sense more seriously. When he was twelve, he and his friends began watching TSM's League of Legends (LoL) matches together because they were all into LoL at the time. Seeing them compete fueled his ambition to become a professional player. His parents, on the other hand, were opposed to him pursuing a gaming career, giving him a very short window to prove himself to them before he had to drop Fortnite and attend college. He was a member of a StepOne team that disbanded in early 2018. He immediately checked the ladder and noticed Viny1x's team was among the highest ranked. As a result, he inquired about any openings on their team. TSM_Vinny1x's team had just released one of their members, so he was able to try out for their Quad team. He was accepted, and they competed together for a while until he and TSM_Vinny1x decided to split up and scrim in duos.

He and TSM_Vinny qualified for and finished third in the Fortnite Fall Skirmish Duos Grand Finals, earning them an equal share of $215,000 USD and his parents' permission to pursue his pro-gaming dreams. On December 11, 2018, he joined Team SoloMid and received Twitch partnership a month and a half later. He moved them into the TSM house, and when TSM_Vinny1x joined a few months later, they resumed their duos partnership. He has since returned to his parents' home. He officially left TSM when the company decided to disband its competitive Fortnite team in February 2021. He later joined Dark Zero.
