Smirky, a Twitch partner, purportedly discovered the location and potential dates for TwitchCon 2023 on a hotel booking website.

TwitchCon has become as the top venue in recent years for both creators and companies to gather annually and network their brands. For the first time since 2019, TwitchCon 2022 marked the physical event’s comeback, bringing an incredible number of creators together for the first time in years. Fans are thrilled that potential dates and locations for TwitchCon 2023 have been found by a Twitch partner named Smirky.

Smirky released a link and screenshot to the Passkey website on January 30, just a few days after Twitch broadcaster theotherjz announced the leak on Twitter. The screenshot revealed the potential location and dates. The tweet reads; “Woah!! #TwitchCon in Las Vegas!? A link to Passkey was discovered with [tentative] dates for TwitchCon NA 2023. This was the same reservations portal for San Diego 22′ hotels. TwitchCon Las Vegas October 20-22, 2023.”

The tweet’s link no longer takes users to the TwitchCon page. The potential date of October 20-22 isn’t too far off from the company’s regular schedule as TwitchCon 2022 was held on October 7-9. San Diego, where they’ve staged the event for numerous years, is also not too far from Las Vegas. 

Since the event is still months away and Twitch hasn’t made any announcements about it, it’s safe to assume that these times and places are merely rumors right now. Many people think the listing was incorrect because the event occurs the same weekend as the hugely popular When We Were Young music festival.

Despite the fact that it hasn’t been confirmed, it has swiftly gained popularity in the community, with many creators tweeting about their delight.
