xQc And Hasan Talks About Kai Cenat Riot

As a result of their disagreement over Kai Cenat’s fan meetup and giveaway, Twitch stars xQc and Hasan caused a riot in Union Square.

After a fan meetup during an IRL live stream went wrong, Kai Cenat gained immediate notice from the general public on August 4. The Twitch celebrity merely wanted to do a giveaway as a way of saying thanks to his fans, thus his intentions were good. However, a much larger throng than anyone could have predicted gathered as supporters turned out in droves. After thousands of people gathered in Union Square, the situation swiftly descended into mayhem, which the police and the media referred to as a riot. Stores were plundered, cars were torched, and fans even started attacking one another.

After things got out of hand, the NYPD intervened with a major response and Kai was taken into custody. He is now being charged with unlawful assembly, inciting a riot, and other unspecified offences. In a show on August 4, Hasan responded to the incident and stated that it had been exaggerated, claiming that the incident wasn’t nearly as horrible as the media was portraying it to be. “Local media talking about f**king three dollars worth of Doritos like there was a bank run or some sh*t. Also, want to make it seem like this was a riot that was completely out of control,” he said. “It’s tragedy p*rn met with also like black unruly teenagers.” 

But xQc vehemently disagreed. Hasan’s take clearly irked the Juicer, who launched into a tirade about how out of hand things was. He said referring to a rioter using a fire extinguisher to cause disruption; “Wait, some buildings were raided, cars destroyed, people are throwing f**king fireworks. Look at the image being shown on the screen. There’s dog sh*t everywhere on the ground. Look at this sh*t. Like, how is this not a riot or out of control? It’s both! Look at this sh*t. Like what the f**k.”

After the incident, NYPD Chief Maddrey was questioned about whether the Twitch star will face any consequences during a press conference. Even though Kai was later let go, the Chief promised that something would “definitely” be done.
